The Overland Track

The Overland Track is a fantastic hiking experience. I hiked this track in 1988 with Wilderness Expeditions, somewhat fearful of setting out without a guide.

On the track, bushwalkers spend four nights at different campsites:

Waterfall Valley

Lake Windermere

Pelion Plains

Du Cane

And the total duration of the walk is five days.

The finish is at Lake St Clair; once you have done, and while doing this hike, you are aware, have a sense of, how the earth, the world, used to be. This feeling is priceless.
